Procedures

  1. The applicant fills the application to extend residency.
  2. Submit the application to extend entry license to Cars Office for verification as follows:
    1. If the car is granted an entry for three months by the Entry Center, the extension might be for five months.
    2. If the car is granted an entry for six months by the Entry Center, the extension might be for two months.
  3. The following conditions must be met:
    1. The resident of Iraq needs to prove residency for a period that is more than 6 months or provesthat the applicant has work there.
    2. The resident of Lebanon needs a separate residency permit other than the passport in addition to a statement by the embassy to proveresidency.
    3. The resident of Saudi Arabia needs an Exit and Return Visa.
    4. The resident of other gulf countries needs a residency permit stamped on the passport.
    5. The resident of Germany needs a residency permit stamped on the passport (visit visa are not allowed regardless of term). The USA passport or Green Card will be accepted.
  4. Present a valid car insurance certificate.
  5. The applicant is given a payment receipt.
  6. The applicant pays the fees at the Cashier.
  7. The applicant receives the entry license by the Cars office after presenting the payment receipt and insurance. 

Required Documents

 

  • Theconcerned person passport.
  • The entry licensed granted by the Entry Center.
  • A car insurance covering the residency term of the car inside Jordan.
  • A valid car ownership certificate.
  • A valid driving license.
  • An attorney (if the applicant is not the owner).
  • Guarantees required to extend the term of license after the first three months, such as a valid and certified trip ticket, bank guarantee.
